Thank you to the delightful Rika at Vegan Miam for the nomination – and thank you for the patience in terms of me posting my response, sorry for being so slow considering that 2013 is almost over.
So here you go, here are the 11 random facts about me and the replies to vegan miam’s questions:
11 very random facts about me:
1// I love to travel.
2// My daytime job is being a digital project manager at a digital agency.
3// My education is life and pursuing passion.
4// The way I dress is apparently, in Sweden described as quirky or very personal, so they say.
5// My favorite foods are constantly changing as I go along.
6// I’m a health nut/geek/freak actually.
7// I love to meet new people and listen to people tell me about their life and experiences.
8// I don’t watch tv, read newspaper or listen to radio. I stay updated in other ways, online.
9// Besides loving to cook, I love to draw and paint and do that type of creative things.
10// I drink tea, constantly, like at least 10 cups a day.
11// I love to scour second hand shops and vintage markets all around the world. If it’s quirky, old and rare, I love it!
vegan miam’s questions:
1. What are you having for dinner today or tonight?
I think a light salad is in order.
2. What is your favorite Asian dish and what would you like me to veganise?
Three coup chicken (I’m not sure the name is right though). Its got beer and ginger in it, I’ve heard about this dish and I think it would be lovely with tofu instead of chicken, if possible – that’s what I would love to see! Please teach me :)
3. What is your worst and favorite travel destination?
My worst must have been some temporary stop when I was traveling in South Africa in the middle of nowhere and we went past a shantytown, it was so scary! My best must be the States, I love San Francisco in particular.
4. Did you have pets?
I had a dog several years ago, now I have no pets whatsoever.
5. Which is your first love: writing books, blogging, photography, or social media?
My first love was actually drawing, painting and cooking/baking as a kid.
6. Do you have one post that you think is amazing? Please share!
It would perhaps be a useful post for other vegans from my personal travel journal/blog.
7. Favorite dessert and junk food?
Vegan cheescake, I can eat that until it comes out my ears.
8. Top 3 places you want to travel to purely for culinary reasons?
I still have a few spots in SF left, like Millenium I want to eat there, but I’d love to explore soth india and learn their way of spicing and making much “lighter” Indian food.
I also want to learn how to make turkish delights since they are purely made from corn starch and no animal products are used. That would be neat.
9. What’s the one food item you refuse to eat no matter what the circumstance?
Well that would be meat and dairy. I will never eat that again, ever.
10. What’s the weirdest food you’ve experimented with?
Hmm, I don’t know actually. I don’t think I have – yet! But I’m sure to tell you once I do! :)
11. What are you wearing today? (HAHA!)
You fashionista you, well today I’m channeling my inner Parisian by wearing a stripy long sleeved top and simple grey jeans/demins.
My questions:
1// Favorite travel destination? and why?
2// Do you have any vegan travel advice?
3// What is YOUR reply to the question from non-vegans in regards to where do you get your protein from?
4// Favorite vegan dish you have veganized? and why?
5// How are vegans perceived in your country?
6// What’s your favorite dishes on the Christmas table that you must, must have?
7// What’s your favorite holiday snap? (post it please!)
8// In the town you live (please write it out) what is your favorite restaurant and why?
9// Have you donated too, or worked wit a charity this year? if so which one and why?
10// What Christmas candy can you not be without?
11// Post a link to vegan Christmas inspiration (your own or someone eases), a recipe, a dish or just a beautiful photo.
