The first time I saw these where in Vienna. I was at a Christmas market and was examining a stand with dried fruits and other delicacies. I bought a box and was instantly hooked.
This is such a easy treat to make yourself and I do these almost every Christmas. Stuffed dates are also very suitable for an afternoon tea spread since these sweet treats are perfect with tea, especially black.
Ingredients
- 8 Medjool dates
- 16-24 raw walnuts
Directions
- Pit the dates and stuff them with 2 or 3 walnuts, depending on the size of the date.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
