The Tea Lovers Advents calendar from Fortnum & Mason

When I was in London a couple of weeks back, I could not resist this tea advents calendar I found at Fortnum & Mason.  Of course this gold packaging, with its quirky designs, containing tea had to be mine :)

I love the illustrations on the small compartments and that it’s so colourful.

The tea bags are sealed under an additional layer of tinfoil to keep their quality and aroma. The tea bags themselves are of the silk variety (it’s not real silk it’s just called that) so that the tea leaves can expand properly. None of the tea bags contains milled tea.

It’s a real treat to open this each day and savour the tea experience while I hang in our dining room where the Christmas tree is, wrapping gifts or doing other Christmassy things :)
